Environmental Policy

Our Environmental Policy sets out the Company’s objective to maintain operational standards to protect the environment.

It confirms the company’s commitment to the proper management and monitoring of waste, the reduction of pollution, compliance with environmental legislation, and relevant training of staff.

Taking care of the environment & our future

Our environmental policy is central to our manufacturing strategy. In particular, we aim to reduce the impact on the environment in the following ways:-

We endeavour to be compliant with relevant environmental legislation.

We are committed to continuous improvement. As such, a Continuous Improvement Team meet at regular intervals to assess the environmental impact of new initiatives as well as implementing improvements to current operations.

We endeavour to minimise the use of all raw materials, energy and supplies, wherever possible, to include recycling of paper, cardboard, ink cartridges and waste from our processes and manufacturing operations.

Any relevant issues to staff are broadcast in company team briefs. Staff training is carried out where appropriate and new employees are made aware of the company environmental policy
Darlington requests suppliers to use recyclable materials where possible. Re-useable packaging is used for as many of our customers as is practicable

In summary

Darlington EMS continues to develop processes and supply chains, which are kinder on the environment. We have been manufacturing products in Stockport for nearly forty years and intend to create the right conditions for our company to prosper, protect the environment and co-exist with the local community for the next forty.
